The House of Taonga is pleased to present the SALON. The Salon is a place for investigating nature, our own, the worlds, the machines.. through Maori Art and conversation. The Salon trades ideas eye to eye. The Salon is not a shop or a gallery it is a place of meeting.

BOOKINGS: The Salon has very flexible hours,it is a place of real meeting with Maori art and artists. The Salon trades in the rare commodities including conversation. The Salon does have public exhibitions but the real value of the Salon is in the private bookings of shows. This is also flexible as the House wants to accommodate what is neglected. The Salon provides an opportunity to investigate the ideas and not just the material things themselves. The material things are only valuable because of the ideas that they flow from.
